Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Court Case Transcript

Does anyone here know if it's possible to get a transcript of a court case? A mate of mine was killed a couple of years ago and the accused was sentenced yesterday. I'd like to get a transcript of the case if possible.

I would imagine they would be public record so I would say you can get them although I am not sure. Have a look around the Courts' website www.courts.ie and ring the court information desk they should be able to tell you for sure.

Few enough cases (there were something like 800,000 last year) have transcripts and fewer still are published - even in summary. It may be difficult to get details.
