I'm looking to move to East/South East England, probably next year, but am not sure where to go. Thinking about either Kent or Eastern Essex or East Anglia but not London.

Is there anyone out there who lives in these areas who can sing their praises, or not, as the case may be, in terms of house prices, jobs, public transport, better weather, broadband availability etc.

    Thanks! :D

    Hey Genie

South East England, the Home Counties: good standard of living. Expensive housing and rent depending where you are. As with most other places in the world, the further out of the cities you are, the lower the wages, but this is offset somewhat by the lower cost of living.

    Useful websites:

www.findaproperty.co.uk (to help you pick somewhere)
www.networkrail.co.uk (so you can see what the transport is like)
www.reed.co.uk (to see what sort of work's on offer round that neck of the woods)

Let us know where you end up!
