    Hey all,

I'm looking to get a starter replaced in a '92 Corolla - have the part and all from a scrapped car so looking for some small garage in Cork Cith that might throw it in for me. Kearys want over 200 quid to do the job (labour) plus 280 Euro for the part - the bleedin car isn't worth that much! Help appreciated...

Ballinlough Motors on the Ballinlough Road might be worth a call

what type of car is it, usually starters are farely easy to get at on small cars ie fiestas 106s charades etc u or a m8 could probably manage it urselves, my little bro managed to do 1 on a lada when he was 13 and that car was rwd and the starter was on top of the gearbox farely difficult to get at, but like i said if its a small car yas should b able to fit it in less than an hour

Try Jack Hanley on on Woods Street. (See here for street). He's a sound lad, and as far as I know deals in autoelectrics.

Dennis Henderson, Monaghan Road. It's opposite CAB, just inside the gate for Pairc Ui Caoimh.

It's the small street that runs from Washington Street to Shear's Street. It goes down between square deal and the hairdresser

Sound for all the replys folks! Think i'll be giving these people my business in future - main $tealers like Kearys are becoming a joke with pricing.

No probs. My Dad specialises in auto-electronics and I know that there's no way in god's earth that he would charge anything like that.
