That should do and then some... depending on what levels of comfort you want 1000 euro will last you a long time

I have a blog with some recent Thai activities: http://www.sbradish.net/wordpress/index.php?cat=4

We were 1 month in South East Asia and E1000 got us all the food, transport, beverages and decent accomodation not to mention bucket loads of diving, snorkelling and fun.

    Enjoy!

Yeah €1000 should be plenty. But as already said it really depends of what level of comfort you're looking for. Thailand is a beautiful, but it has extremes, i.e. you can really live it up in top class restaurants and hotels where they're not shy in taking your money or you can really slum it (for want of a better word).

I was over there in January 2002 for a month and I think my budget was about IR£1,500 and that done me fine and I certainly wasn't slumming it. We even met some people who had a budget of only STG£10 per day, which included accommodation, food & drink.

So yeah €1000 should be plenty enough depending and how you spend it.
