I can find no guidelines or policy statements regarding bans by mods. Some suggestions: banning people without warning and without giving them a chance to know their offence violates natural justice. It is unlikely that anyone would be bothered to sue you but if they did they would win. :D I ask you to put a clear policy…

Hush now Asok, or Cleareyed might sue you for defamation or libel or slander or something. Of course I doubt he'd win, as this thread clearly supports your argument.
