Not a local craze but was on a Eurofestival out in Belgium and the real hard drinkers of the Irish group were concocting their own brews. Most popular was a hefty measure of vodka poured about 1/4 of the way up into a 1.5 Litre bottle, then this was topped up using Smirnoff Ice as the mixer and for an extra kick powdered Lucazade sport was added to make it a pure sugar/alcohol cocktail.

Lucozade and Tia Maria, not the strongest alcohol wise...but....Cola Cool Pops....yes baby.

Whatever will fit in the glass..

A No. 5. Can of red bull, shot of blue aftershock, shot of bols blue, bottle of smirnoff black ice and a blue Wkd. Only problem is its realllly easy to drink, add pernod if you require a stronger taste.

Or a red witch, Pernod and black in a pint of cider if I can't afford the above or too lazy/drunk to shout it at the barman. Tastes like a blackjack :) The pernod settles at the bottom of the glass and you can feel it kicking in when you get about three quaters of the way down.

    mmmmm, blackjacks.

Southern comfort and lime used to be the favourite.

    Pint Glass filled with
    2 x Shots of Vodka
    1 x Smirnoff Ice

    Duiggie Special:
Smirnoff Ice + Double Vodka + Blackcurrant in pint glass, must be drank through a straw

From a former barman who used to work in a pub full of tossers and 'rich' (but in debt to their eyeballs) ponces:

These were some of the 'I'm soooo different' drinks:

Galliano (that tall bottle no-one ever uses) and Diet 7up
Drambuie with one ice cube and in a wine glass
Smithwicks with a Guinness head (not too uncommon)
    Budweiser with a Guinness head
Budweiser in a Harp glass (you know who you are)
    White Wine and Tonic Water

    "Wine Bull":

White wine and Red Bull. In a normal glass. Lethal!! But tastes good....
