Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK, I know this isn't the place to post it but since I'm in a hurry and most people look here I posted it here.

Anyway, my uncle (who is a rich doctor, I talk to once or twice a year) just gave me a call asking me to look up flights and accomation for him on the net. He's off this Saturday (morning, returning Saturday 7th evening), he wants a warm country but not too warm (Spain, Italy or Portugal, preferably Spain. 3 adults and 2 children. Thats all the info he gave me. Decent accomodation (he actually said, not the type of accom you'd be looking to stay in, it sounds very snobby but I'm 17 so I can understand :) )

Where's a nice place to go for a week?:( Price doesn't really matter.

Sounds a bit odd to me. Why would he not just go into a travel agent?

I honestly haven't a clue. His wife is with my mother in Dublin ATM (he lives in Wexford), maybe she can be a bit more precise.

    http://www.paradores-spain.com/

click on where you'd like to go and pick a Paradore/Pousadas - beautiful places to stay, you'll be lucky to find anyplace for him with such short notice though

Thanks for that Beruthial. Air Lingus' flights to Barcelona are full on the return date. I had a look at Ryanair and I got €1,900 return from Dublin to Barcelona for 3 adults and 2 children (well, 5 adults, there's no special price for children). Is this reasonable? Could I get cheaper flights anywhere else?

    Try here http://www.ebookers.ie/
But you'll be lucky to get anything cheap over the next few weeks.

    Try Iberia or Spanair

But again.. there might not be much left... but you can of course mix and match..

just because you get an aer lingus flight out, doesn't mean you can't get an Iberia flight back... just book one way flights with each airline..

at such short notice, I doubt
you normally have to book cheap flights months in advance

Thanks for the help. They want me to have a look for hotels in Dubrovnik. The flights are €2,100 for the 5 and all I need to do is find a hotel for 2 adults and 3 children (3, 5, 14). Everywhere I've checked are booked out. Why is this? Is it because of the BH?
