Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Weather permitting, this weekend I intend to host my first ever BBQ...

While in the US I was at two & at both they had corn on the cob done on the grill that was absolutly incredible tasting, but I unfortunatly never asked how it was done...

How do you do it ? Is it just wrapped in tinfoil & put on the grill with everything else ? How long does it cook for ?

Also need suggestions for anything else which would be suitable for throwing on there...

    TIA

Marinated sausages are among the very finest meat products you can chuck into a pile of hot coals.

Toffee & Banana chunks sounds good... How do you do that ?

Marinated sausages - marinated in what ? (they'll probably be Tesco's finest frozen BBQ bangers)

From many moons ago, we used to make what we called "Metal Willys".

Basically you get a banana, put a slice down the inside curve of it, wedge in a decent line of chocolate buttons. and wrap it in tinfoil. Put on the dying coals for about five mins.

Then you take them out unwrap them and spray on some of that spray cream.

As far as I know, you bbq the corn as it is.
Fresh corn is better. You know, with the leaves.

Oh no you don't! Get thee to a victualler's! Their sausages actually contain meat, they're bigger, and they probably work out cheaper pound for pound anyway.

for the t+b chunks just get a few fairly hard toffee sweets and a few bananas....let the toffees melt on the bb till they are really melty....have a banana on a kebab stick, cover with melted toffee, let it go brown for a while and eat, i warn you though tis very messy!! and also dont burn your tongue!!
