Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apple Ipod circa 1984

    Am I going mad, or is the woman in Apple's famous 1984 advert wearing an iPod? It looks like they've superimposed one, but there's no mention of it (the iPod, or Apple rejigging the advert) on any nearby links.

    Yeah iPods have been around for years, didn't you know? It's only recently though that they've gone mainstream and done upgrades and crap on it.

    Surely the ad is a modern ad to celebrate the 20 years, filmed to look as if it was released in '84.

    It was done because of the book - IBM were Big Brother and so on..

    The ad is definately from the 80s (1984). It's quite famous, actually.

    What i've found is an easter egg on the mac site. They must have added the ipod in later (other almost identical version available if you search for apple 1984 ad in google).
