Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

tell him to get over it & slap him with a wet fish....otherwise get someone to post it for you...might be a tad expensive or invite a mate to come over & get them to bring it over

How many cans do you want to send? Find out how much they weigh then look up the postage costs.

If you live near the border then go to the nearest Royal Mail post office and send it, internal parcels are cheaper than international rates.

The canned stuff isn't as nice as the draught if it is the draught taste he is looking for. Then you don't know how the journey might effect it. They say Guinness doesn't travel well, but I don't know what it is like for Smithwicks. If he is in London, being practical, he might as well get used to drinking what is over there. That is the best advice. The beer isn't as nice over there but I am sure he'll find something. I am a Smithwicks drinker but on the occasions I have been there or other countries, I try something else. Other Irish folk will know what to tell him to drink. He'll enjoy his visits back here and a pint all the more then.

There used to be a pub in or near Ilford that did Smithwicks. Cant remember the name now (it was 10 or 12 years ago) however we had been drinking in The Papermakers in Ilford when someone suggested this pub and it was 5 Mins in a taxi on wet Sunday. Someone from that era / area may be able to help you.
AFAIK the pub had an Irish name like Mulligans or some such.

You probably can't get it because of some stupid contract Guinness signed with one of the big breweries years ago. Dageo probably have no intention of renogotiating this.

Your lucky that postage is (well a bad one) an option.

I had to drink Murphy's or otherwise in Bermuda because of such a deal.

Post it if you can then. It's a nice gesture.
