on irc and in emails I use it all the time. We go over the top, and most of our conversations consist of "OMFGZ YUO = FAG0T!!1111111 OLOL!!1111"!¬"

Which is fine.

However, its slightly worrying when we get drunken phone calls from each other talking in l33t.

i've been known to say things like,

"OMFG! your l337 skillz 0wnz meh" when someone does something cool or unusual or something.

literally said like "oh-em-ef-gee your leet skills ownz me"

i've also said "chuckle" instead of actually chuckling once, while reading the boards.

um, leet language is just englis word spelt differently. they sound the same in english j00 f00l!

f4g9t prnounced "faggót"
1337 prounouced "leet" or "elite"

"f4g0t" always seems to come out as "faygot" in real speech... Leet is the same of course, as is pe0n... People pronouncing words like "Joo" and replacing "is" with "si" and "the" with "teh" in real speech are scary. Especially when it's me
