    Hey lads and ladies,

Got a tattoo on my upper right arm couple years ago in a bit of a rash decision and I'm considering having it removed, would anyone know anywhere it could be done and if there's scarring from it?

Also anyone got any ideas on pricing?

    Cheers

Well, you're looking at something in the region of at least 80-100 euros a session for removal, & a girl I know who is getting her boyfriends name removed is looking at 10 sessions @ that price..... so if you've anything large, you're in for some long, painful & very expensive multiple sessions....

take note kiddies - ink is for life.....

I read in one of the Sunday papers that there is another proceedure for tattoo removal. Costs a lot less (think the article said 2 €150 sessions) and is not painful. Apparently it is a cream that is applied and then.........something must happen, can't remember.

Bound to be on the web somewhere, but it has problems removing green or yellow pigment.

Out of curiousity, what did you get and why are you having it removed so soon?

Just something I thought I wanted to do at the time but now that I'm a little (very little) bit older and wiser I relaise it was a bit of a rash decision, so let this be a warning to everyone..... think first!!!

Otherwise it'll cost you a whole ****load of time pain and money......

I do like the idea of having one but it would need to be something that would mean something to me and that I'd thought a lot about first

That cream treatment is probably some sort of dermabrasion which would only work for knackers with borstal marks (i.e a tattoo made with a sewing needle and biro ink).

Professional tattoos are hard to remove, especially blackwork. You're looking at thousands to remove an average sized tattoo with laser removal.

Well, you really sound like an expert!

the article mentioned yellow and green pigment, dunno of any yellow bic pens but hey, maybe there is, anyway, another option seems to exist so maybe he/she should try it out, wouldn't be swayed by anyones opinion, particularly one based on a probably

Hmm. was this article about a 15 year old girl who had gotten a huge winnie the pooh tattooed on her arm? I cannot see how a cream 'made from natural ingredients' can remove man made inks which mainly/often contain metals. Laser, specialised medical dermabrasion services, and skin grafts are the only removal methods that 'work', if by 'work' you understand you'll be left with a noticible scar.
I can understand why this 15 year old girl wants it removed, but if you don't mind having _A_ tattoo, why not get it covered up with another design?
