Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I saw a poster on my way into work, and although I may have been really tired when i saw it i'm sure it said something about Bill Hicks....well i am sure it did...the bus was moving so there wasnt time to read it...
Does anyone know what the story is with that?
Does the night involve a ouija board and a glass tumbler?
or as my friend suggested his skeleton with a fag hanging out of its mouth...

    Hehe,
"Yeah Bill's going for that anti-marketing dollar, that's a big market..."

I don't know if I like the sound of this though, other comedians just re-hashing old Bill Hicks bits? ... puke - really.
    Or watching videos?! :/
Maybe a candle-lit vigil in his memory.
tbh I can't picture what this event would be like.

yeah i heard somewhere its just one guy impersonating him.
I don't know if his material is similar to bill or if he's just using bill's old stuff,
and i also don't know which one is worse

oh god that sounds like a great idea......tribute acts to dead comedians....what a fan-f*ckin-tastic idea...</sarcasm>

    Guys,
I can understand you thinking what you think... but, Why keep the man a secret? There were people there who had never seen or heard of him before. It took a lot of work to do it and I personally think that he has a message that needs to be spread. Did any of you go? Because the people who were there with your opinions left without them from what I could see. Anyone who knows his stuff will also know that the show is an amalgamation of our favourites not just E-Minor... Mail me and I will meet you at the next one which is Oct 23rd to try to allay your fears for Bills work.
This is a labour of love because what Bill Hicks the Preacher, Comedian, Prophet and Philosopher had to say does not belong relegated to HMV and some geeks mp3 collection - It belongs in every consciousness and on every set of lips and if I can propogate his work in any way I will.
    Cheers for "listening"
    De Jay Vu ;)

Apparently, this guy is scarily good. He used to be a flatmate of DeVore's.

    Freaky that.

I'm not a geek. Even the geeks don't want me.

Agree with you though - I'd rather a good Hicks rendition then have the guy's thoughts and act relegated to the corner stack in HMV. And I haven't seen the show but assuming Hicks-Esque isn't planning on dying any time soon I'll get around to it.
