hi all, i recently applied for eircom`s home starter (trial) broadband offer and have recieved the modem for the service, however when i originally applied an eircom biddy told me to contact her on reciept of it (the modem).
Is this because they have to activate the line over to bb or can i rig everything up now,
    thanks in advance, voyager. ;)

Yup, how did we live on 56k?

To think back: my first internet experience was on a 386 PC on the DIT Kevin Street network. It took about 40 minutes to get the Netscape homepage to load.

And it was still exciting! :)

One of the only search engines at the time was webcrawler.com, and if you searched for porn there were only about 50 results.

Oh how the internet has grown!!!! :):)
