Tribes 2, Directx 8, Voodoo 3 problems

    Ive just been reading a few bits of posts about ppl complaining about Blue screens on the way into Tribes 2.

    Well there is an incompatibility with DirectX 8 and the Voodoo3 Chipset.

    If you are running Windows 2000 There is a patch you can get

    but if you are running Windows 98
    then the only way in which u can fix this is:

    Step 1: Download DirectX uninstaller
    http://www.tweakfiles.com/misc/directxuninstaller.html
    Uninstall Directx 8

    Step 2: Install DirectX 7
    You should be able to find this somewhere on the internet, OR on a Cover cd from anywhere in the last 2 months.

    Basically You have to remove version 8 and put back version 7

    This is no use for me with my tnt2 i take it?
    I d/l'ed the prg anyway,but what do i do then?? someone tlak me thru it?! :/
