Wells it serious as you can't renew your tax but panic-ye-not. Phone the motor tax office and have a word with them. They will advise on the course of action to take. I bet its in the house somewhere unless you've moved then its lost! (always is)

not to worry,i think all you do is get a form signed by the cops,bring it in to your local tax office and they will issue a new one.i think it costs about 12 euro.
