teh battlefield's 1942 is teh slowest

    i got battlefield 1942 today, and my laptop easyly meets the minimum requirements,

    i installed it and tryed to play, and for some reason it run's so slow,

    i've turned off eveything it the backround....


    any sugestions?

    are u sure u switched the laptop from Portable energy save too Home and office pc it makes ur processor work faster works grand for me now

    go into Power Options and switch it to Home / Office should help :D

    Have you patched it yet? The 1.0 version is HIDEOUS to run on, and has lots of performance issues.

    how would i go about patching it,

    Well yeah - the 1.6 patch i think is about 260Mb.
    ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19.
    Search around for it, Im sure you know how./, or ask someone nicely onDSL to download it and post it to you. Or look for some gaming mags that might have it on their DVDs.
