Ripwave & wireless router

    I've emailed IBB about connecting a wireless router to a ripwave system... but as yet they've not got back to me...

    Has anyone done this? or do you need to connect it directly to PC/Mac via USB?

    No, you don't need to connect it directly to a PC or Mac, as long as you get the Ethernet version, rather than the USB version. (It's either/or).

    Plugging it into a broadband router (wired or wireless) works just fine.

    I saw from the Ripwave manual that they recommend keeping it away from a wireless router as the wireless may interfere with the ripwaves signal. Not sure how true that is though.

    If it is a 3.5ghz Ripave there should not be intrference as it operates at a different frequency

    I have my 3.5Ghz hooked up to a DLink 624 and it works fine.
    The router is about 3 feet from the ripwave unit with no probs.
    AFAIK the router is using the 2.4Ghz range.

    as Ripwave said, make sure you order the ethernet version....
