Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I recently renewed my membership to the IFI with the hope that it will encourage me to go more often.I moved out to Swords last year so I haven't been there since.I was hopping somebody might give me some recommendations from the July/August program. There's been a few films that
have caught my eye in the program.Unfortunately some of them have already finished like The Twilight Samurai which was running in July. There's a film from Thailand starting tomorrow which looks interesting; Last Life in the Universe.Any Tips would be gratefully appreciated.

I'd highly recommend "Before Sunset". Without doubt the best film I've seen this year. Richard Linklater is a genius. Great review on the IFI website www.irishfilm.ie

They're showing a selection of classc French films over the next week weekend afternoons. The likes of Vigo's l'atlante'. should be well worth checking out dude.

Dont't have the progrsmme but from the website I'd definitely recommend Memories of Murder which seems to be starting on the 20th August. I saw it a while ago and I thought it was brilliant.

As for L'Atalante, I saw this recently and it didn't do much for me.

School of Rock. Trashy and hysterical, a real piece of light relief from the usually more serious Richard Linklater (he was hired tho). Jack Black, well...rocks.

No he doesn't School Of Rock wasn't funny once it's like watching Old School i.e. not funny.

I thought Before sunset was fantastic. Its the only IFI film I've seen this year. I also loved School of Rock.
