    Hello,
I have a mate who has a laptop, a 6310i with a data cable and wants to browse the web using GPRS. What do i need to do? I said id set it up for him and i just cant get it working? I can get the laptop to dial up a normal data call @ 9.6K using a user name and password that i got. but i dont understand how to get it to use the GPRS function?

Anyone know how to do it?

    Sean

you enter the GPRS INIT string (Extra Initialization String) in the modem properties:
    AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","access-point-name"
where access point name is the relevant access point name ;)

you then dial *99# as the 'phone number'

user name and pass - on voda try vodafone - on O2 try gprs

omitting info like which operator and OS doesn't give much room for much elaboration, so try that and post back with more info if stuck...

otherwise use the Nokia Modem Setup for the handset for a GUI approach
