Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BBC have reported this morning that Saha could be out till xmas.
    Saha faces lengthy absence

Manchester United fear striker Louis Saha could be sidelined until Christmas because of a knee inury.
It is understood scans have revealed Saha's medial ligament injury is worst than first thought and he may face four months out of action.

If United's concerns are confirmed, it leaves manager Sir Alex Ferguson struggling for strikers.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is out for a month after hernia surgery and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not play this season.

United's summer signing Alan Smith is now United's only recognised striker, along with Diego Forlan.

Saha has suffered a miserable time with injuries since his £12.8m move from Fulham in January.

The 25-year-old suffered an Achilles injury which cast a cloud over his first six months at the club.

United are interested in Everton's Wayne Rooney, but cannot meet the Merseyside club's £30m price tag.

And any immediate move has been ruled out because the 18-year-old will be out for several more weeks after breaking his foot against Portugal in Euro 2004.

Looks like United will be shopping for a new striker. Bad luck for Saha though hopefully its not as bad as they fear.

    Ferguson Says it rubbish:
    Ferguson denies Saha blow

Ferguson says Saha will be back in action soon
Sir Alex Ferguson has rejected reports that a knee injury would keep Louis Saha out of action until 2005.
There had been suggestions that the 26-year-old striker's medial ligament injury would keep him out of Manchester United's team for at least four months.

Ferguson insisted that Saha would be able to return within three weeks.

"Louis Saha has not had an operation, and has been training terrifically for the last week and doing everything apart from kicking a ball," he said.

However, Ferguson is still struggling for strikers, with Ruud van Nistelrooy out for a month after hernia surgery, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not play this season.

United's summer signing Alan Smith is now United's only recognised striker, along with Diego Forlan.

****ing hell, my heart stopped for a second there.
I was thinking, OH ****, we're going to have to go buy a striker and then have 4 good strikers wanting the two spots, not everyones gona be happy.
Also I really really like Saha, I want him and Van Nist to team up and score loads like Yorke and Cole :D

What a lovely way to put it.

Forlan is a ****in' disgrace. I am sorry but he is truly dreadful.

If this is true RE: Saha and his knee and being sidelined, that is awful awful awful news.

He just doesn't preform in the premiership, he plays most of his football during the summer with Uraguay and he is a different player there.
He's needed atm as he can cover both right midfield and strikers
