Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great game and a fair result. Middlesborough had a perfectly good penalty turned down after about twenty seconds Opening goal by Bellamy was taken well after a Mistake from Riggott and Newcastle took the lead into half time. Middlesboroughs equaliser was a bit scrappy but Downing took the goal well in the end (his first in the premiership). Stonewall penalty when Ameobi was taken out by Zenden which Shearer stuck into the top left. Kluivert came on for Shearer five left on the clock and between himself and Jenas missed a sitter to make the result certain and Sir Bob will certainly be ruing that miss as Jimmy Floyd who was pretty poor for most of the game (did make the assist for Downing but damn all else) stuck in a header which had possibly some help with his arm at the death.

2-2 it finished, good start from the Borough, think Newcastle will be a bit disappointed though.

How did Carr do? I'd say Newcastle would have taken this scoreline in a flash if offered to them before the game. Newcastle's away form last season was atrocious and going into a game with that centre half pairing and earning a draw is a great result.

He did well. the newscastle defence was unfamiliar with each other but Carr didnt look out of place. He did get booked however.

Newcastle were very good for most of the game and could of been 3-1 up with 2mins to go but Jenas missed a sitter like Thanx 4 The Fish said. I thought it was hard on Newcastle, they did very well and i think they thought they had the match won when they went 2-1 up because sir bobby even took off Shearer with a few mins left. Boro were also good and showed great determination to come from behind twice.

    It was a great match.

Jimmy's goal was a clear handball .(to uswathcing the telly , not the ref) , but I think probably a fair reasult and a decent one for Newcastle considering all the players missing= 11 .
