    Hi,
Would anyone be able to redesign my website to look a bit more professional?

I would like it to be done really well and I would like to update pages myself etc.

What kind of money would I be looking at?

I would also need meta tags and the likes to be put in.

If you know of some well designed sites, please post links and I can choose the style I would prefer.

    Thanks

    www.poker.ie
    Website Construction Plan.

The aim of poker.ie is to be Irelands leading poker directory and resource for poker players and enthusiasts in Ireland. The current site design for poker.ie was created by myself so I do have some knowledge of web design meaning once a backbone is created, I will more than likely be able to update it myself. What I am looking for is a more professional looking design and interface.

    hosting:
We are currently hosted on eircom.net. I have been advised to move so more visitors can come, it will be faster and so on.

I would like to be able to host a user forum (like our current one but preferably without advertising and it is also essential for our banner to remain at the top of the page when customers go to the user forum page.

    Design:
I would like so that when you go to www.poker.ie you will get an index page with links to everything.

I do not care for an introduction page.

"SITE SEARCH" would be handy if possible and not too expensive.

I would like to have our banner at the top in the centre of the page and links to different pages directly below it like http://www.dublin2600.org , or else to have our banner on the left and links on the right like http://www.jason-roe.com/serena. It depends on our banner which we have yet to design.

I do not want a visible hit counter on the page but I do want to know how many hits we get.

I would like to be able to have news/event flashes on the index page like http://www.conceptdesign.ie/

I would also like to have a "Hot Topic" sort of news flash with important news/events that wont go away unless edited to do so.

I would like a permanent space for advertisers to display banners and links throughout the website so that when you go to www.poker.ie you see them straight away and when you go to another section of the site, they are still there, in the same place. like http://home.eircom.net/ but I would like them "inside" the page and not outside like they appear there. They are also only on the first page of eircom.net and do not appear throughout the site, I want them to appear throughout the site.

I do not want it to be possible to scroll up or down advertisements.

I want it so the amount of advertisements fits the actual size of the page.

I would like a permanent section at the bottom of each page throughout the whole website displaying email address, copyright notice, disclaimer + web designer link etc.

I would like a border around the whole website and a background colour left and right of the central site to match the website like http://www.dublin2600.org depending on what colour scheme we choose.

It must be suitable for different screen resolutions.

I would like each sub page to be highlighted in the link space and a little section to say where you are like http://minds.may.ie/~breach/griffintraining/4.png without it saying "home" at the front.

I think I will go for the sub page menu look as here: http://www.mountjuliet.com/golf_18putt.asp on the left hand side Where a category is divided into different topics. There is no need for a menu on pages without sub links, but I would like to be able to add it easily if I need one.

I would like users to have the ability to send an email or request from the contact page like http://www.securityireland.com/contact/

I want all links to correspond with the current site look. Not like when you are here: http://www.securityireland.com/about/ and you click Privacy Policy and it goes to a page with no navigation. I want the Privacy policy etc to come up like the "about" page would when clicked.

I would like explanations of links to come up in the yellow box like when you scroll over links like here http://www.conceptdesign.ie/

I do not want there to be allot to read and long pages to have to scroll through like http://dave.antidisinformation.com/

I would like some nice graphics or photos to be in each sub menu like http://www.sextclub.com/sms_solutions_contact.htm

I would like users to be able to submit their own events and instead of having to edit the page every time I can simply approve of what they say and it will automatically go onto the page.

I would like the text format to be like http://www.sextclub.com/text_luv_home.htm for the main section of reading.

    Maintenance:
Should be easy to add new text, pages and links to current pages.

Additions and Improvements to current content:

    Index page:
to display news, upcoming events, promotions offers etc (can be edited by myself)

    Directory:
to look as it is but to go straight to "online".
-TELEVISION- page to be displayed in site and not have to open in new window
-ONLINE- To display comparrisson table of different online poker rooms(yet to be completed) each poker room is to have its own page with review, rating pros and cons, links, screenshots etc
-IRISH CASINOS- To display links, addresses, phone numbers to Irish Casinos
-MISELLANEOUS- To display upcoming charity, once off events etc
-COLLEGE- To display events of college societies

    RESOURCES:
explanations of different aspects of poker.
    + Stories
    + Reports
    + History
-/+ Calculating Odds - Program link to be removed and for The poker Odd calculator that opens on http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_odds/ to open in the CALCULATING ODDS page (we have permission to use it:)

PRODUCTS: (TO be changed to "STORE")
All current links maybe with a picture for each different category and a link to buy the item displayed in picture.
We do not plan on selling products ourselves yet as we have do not want to deal with it. Maybe in the future.

    FORUM:
To go straight to forum page with poker.ie banner and links remaining at top of page and page layout not changing.

    Contact:
    +email form

    +SERVICES
+Pay and Play page (link is current index page)

The total amount of pages will be about 80 and most of these will just require copying and pasting once the backbone is created.

These are the main aspects of the new design I can think of at the moment. Please let me know how you feel about the project. How long it will take, pricing etc. Basically I just need a new backbone with all requirements as stated above. I will more than likely be able to update it when it needs to be updated.
