Hobbes if your out in t2a watch out for nightmares.These things are tough and very mean.I was out hunting with flame when a nightmare attacked.In about 30 seconds i was down to 10 hps and flame was dead.i just managed to recall in time.btw ppl are paying up to 20k each for a pet nightmare so work on your taming skills.

Ok Nightmares are pretty much in the same class as Dragons or higher, so to even tame it I would need a bit more skills and also a whole team of doctors healing me as I tame it.

Taming it will give me a serious Karma drop, so unless someone is going to hand over Karma to me I'm not too happy to do it <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

Lastly, the creature is pure evil so sitting on it will as far as I know turn you instantly red. Also good characters attempting to sit on it will get thrown and killed by it.

Also bringing a nightmare into town autoflags you for a guard whacking, so it has to stay outside. This is one serious monster.

Hobbes most of what u said in the above post is wrong.
U need 97 skill to tame them.
They are very dangerious as I said about flame getting fragged in 30 secs(no joke).
They are selling for 30k each.
u do not lose karma for riding them.
U do not get guard wacked in town either.

After being tamed,he killed 1 titan,3 ratmen,2 spiders, a few imps and 1 mummy all at the same time.a great night of adventure was had by us both <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
I got a black dye tub as well(traded 2 plates and an orc mask for it).

Nightmare also have about 800-1000 hps.

According to the documentation I have here, the Nightmares are evil and cannot be brought into town. I can only assume they nerf'ed them as prior to the latest patch people even wondered if they actually existed.

Btw, Black Dye tubs are no longer rare so they screwed you big time!! <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> Black dye was given as a christmas present this year. I think although unconfirmed that the Christmas tubs (not the hacked ones) have a limit to the number of uses.

Aversions: Civilization, Water (Leaving it on a boat or in a town will make it go wild quicker then if left in the wilderness).

Resist spells: 99-100
Wrestling 90-93


Some points on Taming. High level creatures like this, if you fail to tame they will go into a rage and attack. So like Dragons you normally need...

1 Tamer/Bard (to do peace music)
1 Medic

Also helps to get people to mana drain them or cast spells to weaken them. Also trapping them helps as well.
