is baldours gate any good for single players ?

    need a good single player role playing game cos i'm jacking in the on-line stuff for a few months and wondering is baldours gate worth 30 squids ? after all 5 cds is a lot so its value for money any comments lads ?

    It's supposed to be pretty cool. Haven't played it.

    Another game you might try as well is Final Fantasy VII, thought it was going to be crap but it's actually not bad. Going to get the PC version, as I never got to finish the game back in Dublin (actually never left the first CD).

    Baldurs gate is excellent, easily the best RPG going at the moment, well worth getting, another single player worth getting is Thief if you dont have it already. But IMHO Baldurs the better of the two.

    No way Rev there's absolutely no way i'm gonna get hooked on ultima cos i know i would and amongst other things it is the whole on-line cost and other costs like my god damn free time was practically non existent, not anymore though, wow what'll i do now ...... geez I'm bored <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/wink.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=";)">
