    I will be starting Civil Eng in UCd in September :D and im wondering about the availability of work on campus or outside campus. :eek:
    Im specifically looking for bar/pub work, but would settle for anything really. :cool:

    Is work readily available? With 20,000 Im not so hopeful of getting a job.
    Also, are first yrs hired or are employers usually looking for 2nd or 3rd year students? :rolleyes:

    Give it a try. There's the 3 bars, also the student's union shops. Not really sure what the chances of getting a job there are though.
    The thing is, engineers have about 35 hours a week in college. Will you have time for a job?

    It isn't hard to get a part time job in Dublin,There is always bars and shops hiring
