Speeds are crap now. Dial up is faster. I knew it was too good to be true that the good speeds we were getting would last. What a shower they are.

I'm getting grand speeds at the moment and the connection is in active use by me and one other person.

Pinging clarity.jolt.co.uk [195.149.21.11] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 195.149.21.11: bytes=32 time=50ms TTL=55
    Reply from 195.149.21.11: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=55

    Reply from 195.149.21.11: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=55

    Ping statistics for 195.149.21.11:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 30ms, Maximum = 50ms, Average = 35ms

If it stays that good I'd be thrilled

are you sure it's not a problem from the source?

    adsl guide speedtest is fine:

    Downstream 417 Kbps (52.1 KB/sec) 450 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 106 Kbps (13.3 KB/sec) 114 Kbps (inc. overheads)

errrr, it wasn't for your benefit??!!!???

I was merely commenting on Moriarty running a 21meg speedtest (yes, yes I know he wasn't)
If you're still confused go to www.ebay.co.uk, you might be able to pick up a cheap sense of humour.

    Tipptop: here you go http://www.u.tv/speedtest/

There are various sites which will allow you to do a (short!) speedtest this will tell you what download speed you are getting

b00m b00m Moriartys test was neither brilliant nor poor hence my wondering why on earth you even bothered to comment.

It was a joke, he was just commenting on the fact moriarty had a 21mb file, and it could be interpreted that he did a speedtest, and the site used a 21mb file. Normally a speed test is a few hundred KB's or a megabyte.

damit, ican't find the Error 404 page that says "Your sense of humor cannot be found"

The problem isn't carbsy's sense of humour - it's the unavoidable fact that kin9pin wasn't funny.

I mean, did anyone actually laugh?
