Its good but certainly not the most musically "genius" or "complex" song of the last 40 years. Havent you heard of the Mars Volta?

My vote would have to go to:

    Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye

I have and still go with Radiohead, the song is based on tribal drum beats and the tempo varies in what seems an almost random way through out single verses. To put together a platinum single with that is an achievement that few others have done.

It's funny how many people have cited Stairway to Heaven as the best song of all time, but not a single person has mentioned The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin, a much better track in my opinion.

Ah come on! The length of the song makes it better! you cant have a world class song in just 3 minutes! (theres exceptions, I know) The song builds up over time getting better and better until the solo and the last verse, its great

This has to be one of the most pointless threads ever. There must be about 20,000 different opinions to this one. Maybe it should be rephrased ''your personal favourite song of all time.''
