RSS feeds - setting up etc

Any recommendations about setting up RSS aggregation to track different news media and blogs? I run MS Outlook as my mail client so do people recommend Newsgator? Costs €29. Also I don't use IE as my default browser - does Newsgator work with Mozilla? Or would I be better to use a browser based solution such as "Bloglines"?

There are plenty of free RSS readers out there like http://www.feedreader.com/

There is no reason why you should have to pay for this.
