Eircom Flat Rate and Smart Telecom

    Hope someone can clear up my confusion...I have ISDN and signed up to
    Eircom's flat rate 60. A short while ago I switched over to the Smart Telecom, who will now handle calls and line rental. The sales rep assured
    me that I would get to keep my existing flat rate offer from Eircom. Does this
    mean Smart Telecom collect the charge for Internet calls and hand it over
    to Eircom as with the line rental ? Thanks for any help...

    What should happen is that eircom will send Smart a file with your billing details for any excluded calls - that is the line rental, your flat rate, and any other excluded calls (such as fixed SMS calls which are not carried by Smart). You pay Smart and they pay the money onto eircom (keeping the agreed margin for themselves)
