Uncontracted mobile needed for roaming...

I need to get a cheap uncontracted emergency mobile tomorrow for a trip to London on Thursday. I was hoping to go Meteor but their setup requirements for roaming are scandalous. So it's between O2 and Vodafone, is one better than the other? adam
