Great stuff... I just cancelled 5 or 6 of the pre-orders I had on Play.com and put them through again with the 10% voucher giving me a saving of over STG£10.

And I didn't even have to read the Sun... horay for Boards.ie!

I think this offer is finishing today, there won't be another DVD tomorrow, so get it while you can. Crap film, but well worth the 10% voucher. I just ordered a few DVDs and CDs I'd been meening to get for a while. One other thing to note, and I'm sure it's been mentioned before, is leave the pricing in sterling. My total came to £42.27, which acording to xe.com's currency convertor is €62.81 but play would have charged me €67.80 in euro pricing, so I just saved €5 more.

Based on the figures above the Sterling amount of 42.27 at the "wholesale rate" of .6723 is 62.81 but if you pay by Credit Card you will find your rate will be approx .6550 which means a saving of around 1.70 Euro.
Play's rate of .6235 is a complete rip off (7.8% margin against the CC's of about 3%).

They gave the passwords out in The (Irish)Sun newspaper. Hmm, strange that the page on Play had Irish Sun and still expected you to enter a postcode. Why couldn't they just remove that bit?
You can still get yesterday's DVD and 10% voucher at www.play.com/irishsunwed with password IRISHSUNPARIS. It's valid till the end of the day.

Didn't get mine yet either, couldn't be bothered if it never arrives anyway. Paris Texas, uugh. It said to allow 28 days anyway so I'd guess nothing will arrive for another 2 weeks at least.
Got my 10% off Battle Royale and a few other DVDs I was looking for so that's all I really cared about.

Got my free DVD yesterday- Paris Texas in paper sleeve that freebies come in nowadays. Think the 10% discount expires today. Play.com are great for the prices of their foreign films- sometimes less than half the price of HMV/Tower.

Isn't it supposed to arrive in 28 days? I'm up to 43 now and still no Paris Texas, whatever that is. I can't be arsed contacting them about it anyway as the DVD's I ordered with the 10% off arrived and that's all I really wanted.

They only had a limited quantity and i think they had a message saying "While Stocks Last" or something like that. I got mine a couple of weeks ago anyhow. I only really wanted the 10% off.


Probably shouldnt of ordered so many games though, i have Burnout 3, Outrun 2 and Rome Total War all at home now!
