I recently got dsl from digiweb (512 down) and i am using torrent downloads but am not getting more than max 8 k down any suggestions? <edited: Don't go asking for links, please>

Are you using a router?
If so have you setup your firewall to allow between ports 6880 - 6999 on TCP connection?

Is there many seeds on the Torrent file that you are downloading because if there is only 4-5 people seeding it is not a surprise that it is that slow.

Also follow Cabaal recommendation as well and check your ports if using a router or some kind of Firewall.

Just a small question, Is it DSL and and not Satellite?

The reason I ask is I had this with the satellite service from them.
