The Irish Examiner says that Eircom is expected to report a bottom-line increase when it announces its results later this week. Davy and Goodbody stockbrokers are predicting a drop in sales, although they expect profits to rise by nearly 2 percent. Davy analyst Jack Gorman forecasts revenues of EUR402 million for Eircom, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of EUR148 million, and pre-goodwill diluted earnings per share of EUR0.01.

Be hard not to report a bottom-line increase after the way the shareholders raped the company last year.
