9800 XT - Very Noisey

    Is there any siliencers out there for this card?????

    One prob though.......I have a suttle system and I'm stuck for space so a big silencer wont fit in my case...

    Any ideas appreciated.

    How much space do you have?


    I assume when you say "a big silencer" you mean the ATI Silencer or similar ones that take up the slot below the card.

    The silent heatpipe/heatsink coolers are quite big, and won't fit in a Shuttle. You can try a different fan, but it isn't going to get a whole lot better:

    There was a thread on here bout someone who was gonna mod there Shuttle to take an artic cooler. Looked sweet. Do a search. it wasnt too long ago....

    Aye you can cut a little window out of the side (except don't put plexi in :) ) and have the heatsink part sticking out of the side. It isn't pretty, but will do the job.

    Look at http://www.sfftech.com forums for more pictures, people that have done some similar mods.
