We're a band called Scutrag and we're looking to get a website together. We'd be looking for something along the lines of the Mike Got Spiked or the Primed websites www.mikegotspiked.com, www.primeddublin.com, pretty much your basic band site.
How much would we be looking at for a site like those above? Is there anyone here who can do it? I don't know dick-all about websites so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

The site's you refer to are both nice pieces of work. I'd guesstimate in the region of 800 - 1000 for them.

    Depends what you want really??

Fancy graphics require a graphic designer / web designer.

    Flash takes some skill.

The more you want the more you pay.

You may get a nixer for 300 and that will not be as fancy as those were.

    http://www.darkword.com/home.php

E-mail that lad and see if he'll do you a website for about €50. He's just sorta a hobbyist music scene person who already does design for two bands.

If not I'll do you one in my spare time for €120. Spare time meaning I'm going into leaving cert so I won't have much time to do it so it could take a few months (hence it not costing €800+). Here's a pic of the latest design of my bands site: http://drivebyconfusion.com/YVONNE.jpg . It's all PHP and MySQL functional (in other words it's automatically updatable).

If you're going my way you'll have to choose a decent inexpensive hosting company to keep the site up on the web, I'd go for http://ipowerweb.net/ . You could go the free .tk way but it would mean no MySQL database which means you'd have to sort through the annoying code if you wanna update it.
