Siemens _65 line suspended

The new Siemens 65 series has been taken off the market temporarily. The phones emit a dangerously loud tone when the battery runs down. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/28/technology/28siemens.html o2 sell the c65 and vodafone were apparently due to bring the c65 and cx65 out next week

Siemens released a statement to outline how to deactivate the shut-off melody:
Warning: possible sound malfunction on 65-generation mobiles

and issued a press release about the problem
