Problems with Netopia and Xbox live (gotham city racing 2)

Ive just bought an xbox live package with gotham racing 2 and while the xbox sees and re-configures itself, makes a few necessary downloads and allowed me to register, i cant seem to connect to x-box live..... anybody have any simialr problems ? Does confirmation of registration take a day or two ? im using the netopia…
