Former Irish priest, Cornelius Horan, is to be awarded an honoury gold medal by the Irish government for his efforts in the mens marathon. He was the only Irish person to catch a race leader in an olympic event.

Former Irish priest Cornelius Horan (made famous for his efforts in the Olympic mens marathon) has been given a coaching role with the Irish International Rules team to confront the Australia in October. It is hoped he can instruct the Irish players on how an amateur should go about tackling a professional athlete.
