Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

'X Factor' judge accused of cheating
09:16 BST, Saturday 4th September 2004 -- by Daniel Kilkelly
X Factor judge Louis Walsh was forced to axe a band from the show, after it emerged that he used to be their manager, The Mirror reports today.

Three members of the group, Co-Ed, who auditioned for X Factor, were originally part of a band called Six, who won Irish Popstars three years ago, and were signed up by Walsh.

An insider told the newspaper, "Louis picked the name Co-Ed and told them what songs to learn for their audition. They had to be seen auditioning like everyone else.

"The plan was for them to breeze through the audition, bootcamp and final selection stages so they would be part of the live TV vote in October.

"The producers were furious. Simon also agreed it would be stupid to continue. So, under pressure, Louis axed them."

An ITV spokesperson said, "Louis has made no secret of the fact he knew them from Six. But he categorically denies he offered them a place in the final.

"There is absolutely no manipulation. We have such a broad range of contestants we don't need to make good television - the pictures tell the story."

The newspaper also reveals that video footage leaked onto the internet shows judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne encouraging contestants to stand up for themselves while on camera.

The show begins tonight at 7.35pm on ITV1.

Someone needs to load the likes of Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, Pete Waterman and anyone else who's responsible for all this sh!tty, manufactured pop that's in the charts and on the radio non-stop these days into a van packed with explosives and many, many cans of petrol and drive it over a very high cliff! And the sooner, the better!

Which three though? In my opinion Nadine is the only talented one, but she ended up slutifying herself in that girl band she's in.

Probably one of my all time favourite moments in Irish television:

"What date 'a birth did I give?"

Followed soon by her, a bit too convincing, lying:

    "Daddy, where's me passport?"

That was classic television if ever there was any. My friends and I still joke about it.

So, er, why are the (former?) members of Six being dumped out of the competition for this? Why, instead, isn't Louis Walsh resigning as judge for being a cheating hoore?

Because that would require a modicum of integrity?

The day Louis Walsh either dies or retires is the day the whole country will let a sigh of relief, maybe finally the music scene here can improve then.

Its Limerick blonde and the dark haired country lad, not the Castleknock fella who came back to DCU.

And of course that sexy little Cork dark haired bird with the lovely jabs.

It is traditional to wait until the baby is actually born to announce its birth.

Ah once again our resident attention-seeker "Mod" does something that would get other posters at least given out to.

Did a Mod really bump a 14 year old thread?

Is that not in contravention of the Charter they are here to uphold or to the general usage of the site?

    Precedence set.

Time for a Mod cull. Always a good idea, keeps them honest.

What's pissing me off most about it is that this guy's infantile "LOOK AT ME" shyte is through actions that would get other posters sanctioned.

He wants to be "funny" fair enough, but play by the rules the rest of us are expected to.
