IIS question

I'm running a flash based website structure to index a large amount of documentation offline. Acrobat is used to view the documentation, from within the web browser.

To enable someone to add a document to the index, I wanted to use a http uploader, using SAfileup.

This whole section of the document index, i.e. the document upload, the section which allows the user to view the newly added document, and also a facility to edit or delete the record from the database to which I am adding it, will all obviously have to be run on a web service.

However, the rest of the index won't work correctly if run on the web service, as acrobat repeatedly crashes after viewing 20-30 documents. It seems unable to handle a large amount of information via http, whereas it's fine with an unlimited amount of documents outside of the web service.

My question is as to whether I can jump between the part of the index which is on the local directory, and the part running on IIS?

Again, the machine won't be on-line at any time, so I'm not worried about security.
