The song from the ad for The OC on E4

Does anyone know the name of the song and band for the ad for The OC on E4? The verse just repeats "California" over and over, and I think that is the name of the song but I'm not sure. My g/f likes that song and others by the same band but she cannot remember the name of the band. Can anyone here help?

Its called "California" by Pahntom planet, american "new rock" band. they're album is pretty good.
