Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh yes sir mr galwaydude. I received this email this morning from someone in a different forum:

    Want a free desktop pc?

Well... here is a way how.

I have done my research and this appears to be totally legit. See the
bottom of this to see PROOF that it works.

    The way it works:
    ->Sign up by going to:
    http://www.FreeDesktopPC.com/default.aspx?referer=8626927
->Complete a free offer. (I recommend the ones that have instant
credit and are free also, like Infone and Netscape, if it's
    avaliable for you)
->Get 5 of your friends to sign up as well under your personal
referral link, and be eligible to get a free desktop pc.

    Steps:
    (A) Use an extra e-mail account(hotmail might not work), they do
send spam. If you don't have one, go to dodgeit.com and get a free
    email with NO signup!

    (B) Choose which desktop pc you want free and tell them where to
    send it.

    (C) Complete one of the offers by a sponsor. Be sure to call and
cancel any offers (free trials) you sign up for though. You will
still earn your credit for your pc, but won't have to pay a single
    thing!

    (D) Invite your friends to do the same. Soon enough you will have
    your free desktop!

If you use this link... please complete your offer, otherwise they
    don't count.

    Once again:

i know its against etiquette to point fingers at the rules
but since this is posted in a diff forum on boards i thought it might be fair to point it out to anyone who may not have seen it.

basically these "conga lines" are scams just like "pyramid schemes" and "matrixeseses" etc etc

    ;)

If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. I personally wouldn't bother with anything on the net that proports to be 'free' except maybe email, but there's usually ads/spam and other annoyances bundled with these.
As someone else said, you need a US address, so it just aint going to work here, unless your in the States. You get nothing for nothing, there's always a catch.
