I got my stereo from incarexpress - found them excellent to deal with - delivery was quick and price was far cheaper than in the shops over here.

Be careful with eBay - a lot of the vendors say that they are UK based where in fact most of the one's I looked at were US based - this means that you could be caught for the extra Cutoms charge. It also means that the radio's in the stereo's are slightly different (something to do with the frequency divisions - you might not be able to tune it into all the radio stations available over here)

Celdirect.co.uk have been very good to deal with from my experience - I get all my stuff from Hong Kong now though - much much cheaper (€220 for a Pioneer headunit thats on sale for just under €600 here)

Why are caraudio.ie quoting in £ instead of €??? and I don't see what exchange rate there giving!

    eg Sony CDXR3300 CD/RADIO Argos is € 139.99 and
Sony CDXR3300 CD/RADIO in caraudio.ie on there title page is £109.99(Normal price £180)which is the equilvent of €160.99 plus postage.

    go figure ;)

It is just a mirror url for the frontpage of http://www.incarexpress.co.uk

Are you sure about that argos price? It isn't in the current catalogue but is in the previous one at "only €279.99"

In the current catalogue the lower spec Sony CDXR 3000 is €199.

caraudio.ie is just a domain name they bought from some idiot in ireland, wich shouldn't be allowed as the company is based in UK incarexpress.co.uk

Considering they sell car audio equipment to Irish customers significantly cheaper than Irish based retailers, including the one you have in your signature (is this your company?) perhaps they should have an irish URL.

Prices for the aforementioned Sony CDXR3300 Including delivery to Ireland:

    http://www.incarexpress.co.uk / http://www.caraudio.ie €178.67
    http://www.besecure2000.com €241.55

Until Irish retailers offer competitive prices I hope more Ireland friendly UK retailers register .ie domains. We desperately need some proper competition in the retail sector in this country. If the only place Irish customers can turn to for value for money is overseas mail order companies then the more the better IMO.

I am not getting into this issue again as I already explained the situation between UK market and Irish market.

Is not our fault the laws in this country are all F****-up.
Yes it is my company and believe me I am doing my best to give Irish market the best prices I could. We also have a discount scheme for regular customers in place, trying to please everybody.
UK retailers are working on rebate with the main suppliers, which in Ireland, it will be impossible as theire prices are already bigger then the UK market before it gets to us.
This way we import everything from outside which means, extra insurance, shipping cost, and dont forget the VAT rate of 21%.

Definate about the price I bought it to-day but I don't see it in the new catalogue so I must of got it at their clearence price which would be 1/2 price (Argos sell off all items that aren't in the new catalogue)

Must go to bargain alerts board :)

I've used besecure2000 on many occasions and found them very helpful and good value. The guys there really know their stuff and always offer very good advice on anything I considered buying. Also, their installation/fitting service is top class.

The cheapest place i've found is Maplin (one near parnell st.)

Components like speakers are far cheaper than Argos :D

Prices on their site are in pounds though so it's probably better to check out one of their stores...
