    Hi there,
I'm planning to swap to a cheaper home phone provider than eircom - possibly including broadband/flatrate. Would any of you know who is the the cheapest provider in Ireland at the moment?? That includes broadband and call charges as well as line rental if that's extra from broadband. Thanks a million.

AFAIK there is no one cheapest option, it really depends on what types of phonecalls you make. UTV are the cheapest dsl provider at €30 a month. Line rental is added on top of all packages from all providers, there is no way of avoiding it. If you mainly use the phone off peak to only Ireland and UK then UTV's free off peak calls package is good but is restrictive on other types of calls.
Get out your phone bills and look up the tariffs on the different websites and work out which is the best for you.

i think you should stick with eircom but look at www.telestunt.ie to make your mobile and international calls, they get billed to your eircom bill, and why dont u look in to getting the free broadband trial from esatbt.com that sounds like a good offer when u weigh it all up switching provider doesnt save u that much especially if you use that telestunt service,
