Will WiMax be available in my area?

    I was reading about WiMax on this forum and I would like to know will it be available in my area which is Ballygarrett in county Wexford and if so when will it be available. If anyone has any idea please reply.

    One of the posts in the thread said that Digiweb would have it early 2005 for 50% of the country. For more information you could try contacting Digiweb - Drop back and let us know if you find out any more.

    With all due respect, I think it may be a little early to ask whether it will be available in your area. My advice is: don't hold your breath. We have seen press such as this many times. And for example if Digiweb are talking about 50% of the population, they could do that just by covering Cork, Galway, Dublin and so on. In other words, without much coverage in rural areas.

    Not saying it will not be available in your area however. I am just saying that so far all we have is a press release to go by. As De Rebel recommended, try contacting Digiwest directly. They might know more.
