Question about 'CDR + Read-Only'

As we've all probably noticed by now when a file(s) is re-copied over from a backup CDR to the harddrive all the files are set as 'read only'. This isn't always a problem but it can be a minor irritant if you are dealing with files that need updating and as they need to have their 'read only' status manually deactivated in properties before any changes can be made to the contents of the file itself..

My question is is there any setting in windows I can alter to tell the computer to automatically deactivate this 'read only' setting for EVERY file that is copied over from a backup cdr?

    Thanks!
