MFC,openGL, problem with flashing

I am trying to use openGL with MFC. All seems fine but for the nasty problem that the double buffering does not work. I have it enabled, and use the SwapBuffer command. I even found that a usual problem was that the OnEraseBkgnd() calls a dirty microsoft cleaner which disables double buffering. I overrided the function but I have still the problem of flashing whenever I need to paint/repaint something. Does anyone have a solution to this?
