Broadband speed issue

    Hi,

I have the NTL 750 Kbps ethernet package.

I get good results when i use different speed tests, usually around 600Kbps. This is with an XP2200+ system with a PCI NIC.

I recently built a P4 based PC which has an onboard NIC, this PC consistently scores about 100Kbps slower (around 500Kbps). When i go back to the old XP2200 the speed goes back up to around 600Kbps.

I tried the NIC from the XP2200 in the P4 with no change in the results, so i don't think that's the problem. I've also checked for a virus (etc) on the P4.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
