parking fines?

    Just wondering, how much is a parking ticket? What about towing? Does it happen every where or just in certain places? How much is it to get your car back if it was towed?

    I think it is different depending on where you are (Dublin/Cork/etc.) and whether a garda/parking warden or clamper gets you. Removal is more expensive. However, I have never got a ticket or been clamped by the local authorities here.
    [I did however get clamped in the shopping center (with the cinema) car park in Galway as after shopping in the center I went into the city. Once you leave the center property, the fascist bastards clamp you! Great customer service! Oh, and they chip your paintwork while doing it for free!

    A garda fine is €15-20, clamping will set you back about €80 and towing somehting like €150.
